The Playmaker clubhouse is located in London with a global network of over 250 specialists in creative, strategy, production and content.

Playmaker was established in 2024 by founder, Sam Ward.
Sam has 15 years of expert experience producing experiential, content, digital and product marketing campaigns for brands like Google, Gymshark, Snap, Manchester United and produced experiences at 3 x Olympic Games. Having worked for experiential agencies, in-house at £1bn+ brands and creating a brand experience division within a PR agency, Sam has a deep understanding of the brand marketing landscape.
A producer by trade, Sam has also been a creative and led events brandside at Gymshark and Snap. Never satisfied with copy and paste tactics, Playmaker was born out of equal parts frustration and inspiration.
Sam believes creativity should solve problems and be boldly simple - “If you can’t summarise your wildly creative idea into a sentence your parents could understand then you have failed. The process of creativity may be complex but the end product needs to be beautifully simple.”
Sam is also a mental health advocate and worked alongside the Lion’s Barber Collective for 2 years, helping educate barbers to spot the signs of poor mental health in their clients.
A keen sportsman all his life, Sam is in the position of being the target audience and the lead creative mind on Playmaker’s projects. This cultural relevance is a non-negotiable in every brief that comes through the door.
Sam’s values are taking ownership regardless of role; injecting creativity into every task and showing resilience and initiative. Just like all successful sports teams merging work ethic, skill and togetherness empowers you to overcome every challenge.
